We are located in Largatero, Panama. This location has been selected because of the town’s charm, beaches, water, natural beauty, close proximity to Coiba National Park and over all relaxing peaceful atmosphere. Lago Bay lies nestled in the central Pacific-side of Panama facing many beautiful and friendly islands. On a more macro level, Panama is naturally temperate. It has the temperature one would expect from southern Florida with no hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes or volcanoes. Panama has the perfect environment to relax with a protected investment.

Construction

Home Construction will be discussed on an individual basis depending on each resident’s needs at Lago Bay. Local contractors and architects have been selected in order to facilitate the building process and our own general contractor (licensed in the state of Hawaii) is on site to inspect and monitor construction quality.

Beach

Lago Bay has 2.2k or 1.4 miles of sand beach. Several thousand coconut and palm trees have been planted along the high-tide mark to compliment the already existing canopy of native tree species. The Beach Pavilion is centrally located within this canopy for all residents to enjoy. A few steps toward the water puts you on one of the widest and deepest sand beaches in the area. The entire sand bay is approximately 3.5 miles long.

Lakes

There are three stocked lakes at Lago Bay. Turtle Pond is fully stocked with Tilapia, fresh-water shrimp and caracols. Tiger Lake and Isla Lake both have islands that house Geese, ducks and Wichichi (a long-decked bird that dives for food). These two lakes are stocked with Sargento which is a fresh-water snapper. There are docks on all three of the lakes to provide easy access for
fishing or a boat ride.

Horse Stable

A four-horse stable is located in front of Isla Lake. Our staff is there to saddle up and assist with a morning or afternoon ride.

Nature Trails

Several trails are perfect for horseback riding or walking that run along the Lagoon and beside the preserved rain forest. An incredible variety of bird life and flowers can be seen throughout the area. Our thousands of fruit trees are not only beautiful, but provide a great snack.

Our Restaurant

The Shanti is Lago Bay’s open air, beach style bar and grill with a traditional Italian brick oven. Oven-roasted tilapia, home made bread, fresh juice, spirits and local beer are all a few examples of what’s on the menu.

Airstrip

Lago Bay houses the only airstrip in the entire Santa Catalina area. We are currently teaming up with Big World Villas and Aero Perlas in order to schedule regular and affordable flights. Hangars are available for individual/ private planes. Covered parking is next to the strip. Transfer service is also available.

High Speed Internet

True high speed internet is available at Lago Bay. The service is offered through Comarales and is not only affordable, but is as good as any offered in the city. The service is microwave (not satellite) that makes a much more stable and consistent connection speed. VOIP makes local or international calls a few cents a minute. Cell phone service is also easy and affordable.

Floating Dock

Lago Bay is designing a floating dock that will make launching your boat a much easier experience. Service is available for launching, packing and storing residents’ boats. A resident could feasibly call from Panama City ask for his boat to be launched that morning, fly in, go fishing, and be eating a fresh tuna that same day.

Tours

Coiba is one of the premiere tour destinations of Panama. Touted as the ‘Galapagos’ of Central America it is featured in media such as the Discovery Channel and National Geographic. Lago Bay gets you there through local guides that really know the area and wildlife. The Lost Coast Explorer offers first-class deep sea fishing tours for Lago Bay. They also feature surfing and diving tours. For a more casual experience, Lago Bay has local contacts that get you around some of the surrounding islands for snorkel, diving, fishing or an island excursion. The islands of Cebaco, Leones and Gobernadora are directly in front of the Lago Bay community.
