The Municipality seeks to reduce the waiting time for the appraisal of construction permits and inspections of occupancy permits.
The Directorate of Works and Constructions of the Municipality of Panama reduced the times of inspections required for occupancy permits, which generated the growth of more than 50% in revenue since its execution.
This increase is compared with figures from 2016 to 2018. In these years, B / .3 million 809 thousand 740 were collected; while the total income in 2014 and 2015 totaled only B / .1 million 644 thousand 475 balboas.
During the second half of 2014, the entire year 2015 and the first half of 2016, about 8 thousand 509 occupancy permits were issued. There was a significant increase for the second half of 2016, 2017 and 2018 completed until the first half of 2019, 26,498 permits were generated.
The amount of permits increased in 2015 generating a collection of B / .913 thousand, 590 balboas; in 2016 a record income figure was obtained reaching B / .1 million 395 thousand 282 balboas; and in 2018 they entered B / .1 million 269 thousand 338 balboas.

For this process, a digital platform was implemented to coordinate inspection appointments and monitor occupancy permits online, to obtain them online with a digital signature.
