For the third consecutive year, Panama City has been honored as the “Best Leisure Destination” in Latin and South America by the Leisure Lifestyle Awards.
Organized by the esteemed North American magazine Global Traveler, these annual awards recognize excellence in the leisure, luxury, and lifestyle travel sectors, spotlighting top-performing tourist destinations and brands.
In the twelfth edition of the awards, readers of Global Traveler chose Panama City for its vibrant culture, captivating biodiversity, and stunning architecture, surpassing other notable destinations such as Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, and Mendoza.
Global Traveler has frequently highlighted Panama City’s diverse attractions, including hiking, gastronomy, water sports, and visits to indigenous communities along the Chagres River. The magazine also suggests a 10-day itinerary to fully experience the country’s offerings.
This accolade from the Leisure Lifestyle Awards adds to a growing list of recognitions for Panama City over the past three years, including TripAdvisor’s “The Best of the Best 2024” awards in the categories of Trending Destinations and Best International Gastronomic Destinations.
