I am a licensed attorney and licensed broker at KW Obarrio.   

I have been working in Panama real estate law and sales of real estate in Panama for the last 20 years. 

My areas of focus in legal services are Panama real estate law, immigration law in Panama, tourism law, and corporate law (formation and management of Panamanian corporations and foundations). I have assisted hundreds of expats to obtain residency in Panama, buy Panama real estate, and setup business in Panama over the last 20 years of my career. 

In Panama real estate, my areas of focus are Panama City ocean front properties, and beach front properties in Panama, particularly in the areas of Santa Catalina, Pedasi, Cambutal, Western Azuero Peninsula (Mariato, Torio, Playa Morrillo). I am a specialist in properties in Panama for hotels, hostels, restaurants or tourism related businesses.

I love what I do because the legal and real estate fields have enabled me to build long lasting relationships with my clients, some of whom have become great friends.  I love being able to help people accomplish their goals of relocating to Panama, getting residency, buying property here, and fulfilling their dreams of living in this tropical paradise.

I am a 4th generation Zonian, born and raised in the Panama Canal Zone, which was once a US territory, so I am a dual citizen (Panama / USA), and I am fluent in English and Spanish. I hold a US bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of North Florida (Jacksonville, FL) and a law degree from Columbus University (Panama).

I recommend investing in Panama because it is one of the fastest growing countries in Central and Latin America, with a stable and democratic government, diversified economy, and the country has a track record of attracting foreign investment thanks to its strategic location, the Panama Canal, the shipping industry, ports, free trade zones, banking center, and other factors which have all contributed to making Panama the "Hub" of the Americas.  This makes Panama a very interesting option for foreign investors and business people, plus, Panama offers a warm, tropical climate that is highly attractive for tourism.  

As a retirement destination, Panama offers excellent programs for retirees with tax benefits and discounts that are not available in any other country in the world. Obtaining residency in Panama is also very easy and cost effective for expats, in comparison with most other countries. The cost of living in Panama has increased in recent years due to the inflation of the USD, however, it is still relatively inexpensive in comparison with most first world countries.
